<<back to Jesus Christ
That having lived God’s law without sin or fault, Jesus’ innocent life was deemed a worthy sacrifice to free sinful humanity from the penalty of everlasting death. Thus the sins of the world - your sins and my sins were laid upon Jesus’ sinless life and on our behalf He bore our sin to the cross and died in our sinful place.
" The Lord is well pleased for His righteousness’ sake; He will exalt the law and make it honourable." Isaiah 42:2
"... He poured out His soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And He bore the sin of many, And made intercession for the transgressors." Isaiah 53:12
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3:16-17
Romans 6:10, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Titus 2:14, Isaiah 53:1-12, Romans 5:6-8, Romans 5:18-19, Romans 14:19.
That upon Jesus’ last breath of life, the veil in the Jewish temple which divided the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place, was torn in two signifying that Jesus' atoning blood had met the demands of the broken law. At that moment the Old Testament covenant involving ordinances and ceremonies came to a close being fulfilled in the offering of Jesus’ sinless life.
"And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split," Matthew 27:50-51
"But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace," Ephesians 2:13-15
Colossians 2:14-17, Hebrews 9:9-10.
That having won the victory over evil, Jesus Christ rose from the tomb of death and believing in His saving name, we receive God’s free gift of salvation uniting us with God the Father in new spiritual life.
"But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God," Ephesians 2:4-8
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17
Matthew 1:21, Acts 4:12, Romans 5:17-19, Philippians 3:9, Isaiah 61:10.

That having accepted God’s gift of salvation we are baptised by full emersion in water. Baptism by full immersion symbolises the cleasning power of Jesus' death and ressurection to new life. Our old sinful life is buried in Jesus' death through baptism, and arising from the cleansing water, a new creation in Jesus begins.
"Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life." Romans 6:3-4
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23
Galatians 3:27, Acts 8: 35-38, Mark 16:16, Acts 19:4, Acts 22:16, Revelation 1:5, 1 John 1:9, 1 John 5:11, 1 John 2:25.

That after rising from the dead, Jesus spent forty days with His disciples. Then returning to heaven He entered the heavenly temple to become our High Priest. In His ministering role, Jesus is our Intercessor and Mediator before our heavenly Father. For only God has the authority to forgive sin committed against His law, the Ten Commandments of life.
“We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord erected, and not man.” Hebrews 8:1-2
“...It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.” Romans 8:34
“For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus...” 1 Timothy 2:5
“He does not give aid to angels, but He does give aid to the seed of Abraham. Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.” Hebrews 2:14-18 Read more>>
