June 15, 2013

I have just been watching my husband attack the autumn leaves on our deck with the leaf blower. Within a few minutes he bowled them into a corner, sucked them up and emptied the mulch from the bag into the compost heap. How much quicker and easier the process was than sweeping, raking and carting leaves in a wheel barrow. Who would ever go back to doing that when they had a leaf blower available?

That set me thinking about all the times I have worried and sweated and struggled to solve problems in my own strength and wisdom when Father God has all the resources needed to quickly and effortlessly sort them out. All we need to do to access His power is call to Him:

“Call to Me and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty (margin =inaccessible) things which you do not know.” Jeremiah 33:3 NKJV

Your Father waits to hear and answer your prayers.
