Then a man came from Baal Shalisha, and brought the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley bread, and newly ripened grain in his knapsack. And he said, “give it to the people that they may eat.”

But his servant said, “What? Shall I set this before one hundred men?”

He said again, “Give it to the people, that they may eat; for thus says the LORD: ‘They shall eat and have some left over.’ So he set it before them; and they ate and had some left over, according to the word of the LORD.

2 Kings 4:42-44

Father in heaven, we look around us and are overwhelmed by the needs of others and perhaps our own. Our energy is flagging, we are squeezed for time, there are so few support people with the right training or skills and the bank balance dwindles. Nevertheless we bring our knapsacks to You and ask You please to multiply the supplies.   We look away from the needs and look to Your promises:

God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work (2 Corinthians 9:8).

My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

Now to Him who is  able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20).

Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” (Mark 9:23).Lord, we believe; help our unbelief! (Mark 9:24).

We ask and thank You in Jesus’ name. Be it unto us according to Your word. Amen
